TOUR TIMELINE & DESCRIPTION

1
Oia and the Caldera

The Santorini full day tour starts at your hotel where we’ll pick you up at the time of your choosing. We will then head to Oia, the most famous of Santorini villages. We’ll stop for about 15 minutes at the top so you can enjoy the panoramic views of the village and the caldera and then we’ll go down to the traditional settlement to walk along the cobblestone streets.

2
Firostefani

After Oia, we’ll drive to Firostefani, a historic village that is now part of Fira, the capital of Santorini. We’ll visit the blue dome church, one of the most famous Santorini landmarks. You’ll also get unique views of the volcano.

3
Monastery of Prophet Elias

We’ll then go to the top of the island, to the Monastery of Prophet Elias, where the views of Santorini, the volcano and the surrounding islets are unparalleled. You can buy local products by the monks. We’ll be there for about 45 minutes.

4
Perivolos and the Black Beach of Perissa

Next stop, the beach. The Santorini beaches are famously colorful. The black beach of Perissa and the adjacent Perivolos owe their colors to the volcanic rock. The beaches are perfectly organized, so depending on the time of day you can enjoy a meal, some coffee or a cocktail with an incredible view of the beach.

5
Akrotiri Archaeological Site

There are many things to do in Santorini, so we will then go to the most important archaeological site of Santorini. Akrotiri is a prehistoric settlement and one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the Aegean.

6
The Red Beach

Next, we’ll go to the red beach. It is very close to Akrotiri and takes a really short hike to get there (no more than five minutes, probably less); it offers amazing views from the top, ragged landscape at the bottom. We suggest spending about 30 minutes there.

7
Traditional Winery

After that bit of adventure, our final stop will be at a traditional winery, where you can learn about different Santorini wine varieties, how they are made and which is the secret for their special taste. The most fun part will be the wine tasting of the unique Santorini wines accompanied with some of the local delicacies.

8
Drop-off

When you’re done with the Santorini sightseeing for the day, we’ll take you back to your hotel or drop you off anywhere you’d like on the island. A private tour of Santorini is the best way to explore the island, so book your own and enjoy an experience of a lifetime.
